Mtg Onslaught

The older MTG sets.?

I have a card shop where I live, and the guy has old old booster boxes of cards form like ( onslaught, alliances, odyssey etc) what older set is great to buy? I love the core sets, but I want something diffrent for a change.

Both Onslaught and Odyssey were good sets, with some rather interesting cards from each. Likewise, Invasion and Urza’s were both very good sets. Alliances had a few good cards, but generally wasn’t the most well received set at the time. One good way to see if a set is interesting or not is to use Gatherer and look at some of the cards that may be in the set. Just go to:

http://gatherer.wizards.com

And you can select the specific set and look at the cards from that set.
