How to play a gensai red wizard by editing Mask of the Betrayer?
How can I edit Mask of the Betrayer so I can remove the race restriction on the red wizards? I wanted to try red wizard and gensai at once since I cant re-play games once I beat them.
I found on the NWN forums that if you go into the data file where your game file is, then open up the 2DA you can edit alot of things ( I removed the level adjustment this way)
Does anyone know? Or just the file name I should look for to edit?
The closest I can come up with (I can’t test it at the moment because my game is failing to show me my Genasi races and Red Wizard Prestige Class for some reason) is the cls_pres_redwiz.2da file in your 2DA_X1 folder (the folder is zipped) Open that and there is a line at the top that reads: 0HumanRACE6****
From what I have been reading, you should be able to change the Human RACE 6 to (one of the following)
Air_Genasi
Earth_Genasi
Fire_Genasi
Water_Genasi
I do NOT know if you will have to replace the number 6 behind Human RACE or not. If you do, the number will be 21, and you will see how it is set up.
There is NO guarantee that this will work!!! Like I said, I have not been able to try it, and I have not found anyone else that has…
Just remember: Make a copy of your 2DA_X1 file and keep it in a safe place, just in case this screws up your game…
